Curly Syndergaard

I grew up with poetry in the home. My Australian mother was always reciting poems she had learned in school. I started writing poetry in the seventh grade. I noticed later in life that my verse had a western slant to it. I was taken in by old cowboy songs and the poetry of the old time cowboys and bush poets of Australia and began to learn and recite their works. Working as a wrangler within three National Parks, my poetry has turned towards sharing my love of those areas with anyone who’ll listen.
