Tom’s Cabin

For the fourth year, an exclusive visit to a premier cowboy collection of Gathering founder, Tom Whitaker. Open rarely to the public! This is a real treat that you won’t want to miss. A collection of cowboy artifacts, saddles, spurs, railroad, Indian, and brothel! Open only a few hours and free to the public.

BE A WILD WEST SHOOTER

Cowboy mounted shooting is one of the nation’s fastest growing timed event sports, showing horsemanship and shooting ability in a competitive event. Shoot with our black powder guns at balloons on the ground (not horses).

Ground Shooters Fee: $5.00 for 10 shots / 2 guns
We provide: Ammo, guns, holster, ear plugs and a very experienced instructor.
Please call Kevin Koyle for information and to register for this event 801-499-0127. Walk in registrations on day of event will be accepted.

HEBER VALLEY RAILROAD COWBOY TRAIN

Join us on the Heber Valley Railroad’s Cowboy Train and experience a step back on the 119 year old route of the Heber Creeper. Your ride includes a train robbery and live old-fashioned western entertainment on board. Stunning views of the Heber Valley and Wasatch Back. The concessions car will
be open. Be there 30 min. prior to boarding!

SUZY BOGGUSS AND THE HEBER VALLEY ORCHESTRA

Heber Valley’s sweethert, Suzy Bogguss, returns to the gathering, joined by the talented Heber Valley Orchestra to perform with a spine-tingling union of song and symphony. Joining them is Canadian cowgirl poet, Doris Daley reciting her favorties, with host Waddie Mitchell. Featuring our newest entertainer, Ryan Fritz of Saskatchewan, Canada. He shares his true singing talent of the cowboy way!

First time performer at the gathering is hit writer Max T. Barnes and his Nashville band. Their rich harmony will touch your hearts with the favorites from Nashville, written by Max and his father. Dyer Highway, a Utah family band returns bringing upbeat vocals and music with their own unforgettable style. Fan favorite Jeff Carson comes to the stage with his outstanding poetry and humor. Cowboy Comedy Creek Concert

With Waddie Mitchell, Gary McMahan, Brenn Hill, Andy Nelson, Doris Daley, and Ed Peekeekoot. For the first time, cowboy comedy comes to our stage for an entire show! Featuring humorist, Gary McMahan, singing and yodeling and being a general nuisance. Crowd favorite, Andy Nelson will keep you laughing in hysterics with Utah’s Country Star, Brenn Hill who brings his comedy songs around the fire. All the way from Canada, are Yukon Indian Ed Peekeekoot and Doris Daley, each joining the show with homor, lyrics, and music. You’ll love them and be wanting more!

Max T. Barnes and his Nashville Band

Max T. and his late father have written thirty-three #1 hits and sold nearly 70 million records. Max is a hit writer who is the son of a hit writer. It’s safe to say that when he plays he doesn’t run out of material. The gathering is happy to have Max and his band entertain this year. A must see!

Soldier Hollow Cowboy Dinner Show with Hot Club of Cowtown

Soldier Hollow Grill is a mountain-side venue, offerig breathtaking views, great service, and wonderful food. Enjoy a prime rib dinner, dutch oven potatoes, salad and cobbler for dessert. Dutch oven Turkey is available too! Back by popular demand is one of the mos talented trio’s in America. Nowhere can you find the rich vocals and musicianship of “Hot Club.” This will be a night to remember with emcee Doug Pope.

Trinity Seely and Dave Stamey

 

If you haven’t heard of Dave Stamey, you need to get out more! His rich balladeer voice has won him Entertainer of the Year and Male Performer, seven times as well as Song Writer of the Year, five times. He is a true cowboy, singing about his love of the cowboy. Trinity Seely first came to the gathering on open mic. The audience loved her, and since then she has performed several times. She is as authentic as they come, living on a ranch with her family, riding and wrangling cattle and singing on the side. Come to Zermatt Resort ad enjoy a fun filled evening of talent.

Bar J Wranglers

Back by popular demand, the Bar J Wranglers are a gathering staple. Singing the history of the west through song, they bring the purest of harmony, the best musicians, and they are funny to boot! Randy Huston, first-timer to our gathering is a fourth generation rancher and livestock producer from New Mexico. Jeff Carson is a Heber Valley cowboy poet, tried and true. Jeff is an icon in the valley, writing about his mules, everyday life and experiences, and his life as a cowboy.
