Where it all begins! Enjoy a delicious steak dinner with all the fixin’s add music, poetry and laughter and you’ve got yourself a perfect start to an enjoyable evening. Featuring Joshua Creek, Dave and Jenny Anderson and poets Jeff Carson and Ryan Fritz. Doors open at 5:30 pm with pre-show entertainment. Dinner Concert begins at 6:30 pm. Visit Tom Whitaker’s premier cowboy collection. Tom is our Gathering Founder and has graciously opened this amazing collection to the public for your enjoyment. HEBER VALLEY RAILROAD COWBOY TRAIN
Join us for The Heber Valley Railroad Cowboy Train experience. The Fun begins with an Old West Gunfight prior to boarding, so you’ll want to arrive early. The train promptly departs the Heber Depot at 12:30 pm for a ninety-minute round trip. You’ll enjoy spectacular scenery and the best in old fashioned western music. Expect to see some cowboys and desperados on board! You can upgrade your ticket purchase to the first-class lounge car and ride in luxury.

SOLDIER HOLLOW COWBOY DINNER SHOW
Featuring: NED LEDOUX. This western cowboy is out writing his own story while also paying tribute to his late father, Chris LeDoux. As a Wyoming rancher, cowboy and musician, Ned writes and sings about the life he knows. Come enjoy an intimate night with singer songwriter Ned LeDoux while you dine on the best cowboy feast around. The venue is the Soldier Hollow Grill in Midway, offering breathtaking views of the Heber Valley and the best in food and service. He’s also had a very successful solo career with number 1 hits like “Seein’ My Father In Me.” Other chart-topping hits written for some of the best recording artist include Randy Travis’s “Forever and Ever, Amen” and Michael Martin Murphy’s “Long Line of Love.” Sit back and enjoy hit after hit as you listen to the beautiful voice of Paul Overstreet.

If you’re a fan of Merle Haggard, you’ll love how his son Ben Haggard recreates his music. Ben is a very talented musician with a voice that’s reminiscent of his famous father. He played lead guitar in his father’s band from his early teen years. Honoring his late father, brothers Ben and Noel are blazing their own trail and their shows proved to be a favorite of the Gathering last year. This is Ned’s first time to the Heber Valley, but it’s not his first rodeo. He’s been singing and performing since he started his first band in Jr. High and by his teen years was playing drums for his famous Father, Chris leDoux. Through Ned’s songs he’s writing his own story while also paying tribute to his legendary father. There’s an authenticity to his songs that brings our nations beloved Western culture to life. This show will prove to be one of the best in cowboy music as you tap your foot to all the great songs of the west. Brigid is a singer, songwriter, fiddler and poet and performs with contagious energy. Sourdough Slim is a favorite of the gathering and is a hoot to say the least. He’s a mighty cowboy singer, yodeler, storyteller as well as top notch on the accordion, guitar, ukulele and harmonica. Together there some mighty fine musicianship accompanied by plenty of good ale’ cowboy humor.

Growing up on an Oklahoma Ranch, Susie began singing with siblings Pake and Reba. After her college days, she began touring with country superstar & sister Reba. Susie, a star in her own right, later decided to direct her musical talent to country gospel music. Raised on an Oklahoma Ranch singing with her siblings Pake and Reba, then spending some years touring with her famous sister, Susie struck out on her own. She has focused her musical talents on the country gospel side of American roots music. An excellent musician with a voice to match, Susie is an award-winning performer and is an inspiration to many as she sings from the heart. With her amazing ability to connect with her audience, she has a way of making you feel like old friends! As the festival draws to a close with our traditional cowboy church and the passing of the hat, all proceeds help fund scholarships to local youth, school organizations, cancer awareness and other charities.
